The Corsair Vengeance DDR5 6000MT/s CL36 is a non-RGB kit that runs DDR5-6000 with tighter-than-average timings, and it's notable for offering a 96GB (2x48GB) configuration. It supports both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO, making it one of the more platform-flexible options in the Vengeance lineup.

Specs and Performance

Tested timings are 36-38-38-76 at 1.25V, reaching 6000MT/s via XMP or EXPO profile. The SPD fallback is 4800MT/s at 1.1V. Form factor is 288-pin UDIMM with an aluminum heatspreader.

At CL36 / 6000MT/s, effective latency is roughly 12.0ns, compared to ~13.3ns for the CL40 variants at the same speed. That's a 10% improvement in latency, which matters for CPU-bound tasks like compilation, lightweight databases, and virtualization workloads with many small memory accesses.

The 96GB dual-channel kit is worth calling out specifically. Dense memory configurations at 6000MT/s CL36 are uncommon.

AMD EXPO Support

EXPO certification means Ryzen 7000/8000/9000 series platforms can run this kit at its rated 6000MT/s without manually dialing in timings. 6000MT/s is generally considered the sweet spot for AMD Ryzen given the Infinity Fabric clock relationship.

Limitations

No RGB. The heatspreader is solid aluminum. For non-windowed builds or rack-mounted systems, that keeps it clean.

Non-ECC and unbuffered, not usable in ECC-required environments.

Best for: AMD Ryzen builds needing high-density DDR5 (96GB is genuinely useful for Proxmox hosts running several VMs), or Intel builds where you want both good latency and platform flexibility without paying for RGB.

Avoid if: You need ECC, are running a registered-DIMM server platform, or genuinely need the tightest possible timings and can afford the CL30 kits.
