We do not engage in behavioral advertising, data brokering, or cross-site tracking for advertising purposes.
When you click on a product link, we redirect you to the merchant's website. This redirect may include an affiliate tracking parameter that tells the merchant your visit originated from Homelab Prices. This is standard affiliate marketing — it allows the merchant to attribute any subsequent purchase to our referral so we can earn a commission.
At the point of redirect, the merchant's own privacy policy governs how they handle your data. We do not transmit your personal information (name, email, account data) to merchants. The only data the merchant receives is what your browser naturally sends in any web request (IP address, browser headers) plus our affiliate identifier.
We log outbound clicks (which link was clicked, IP address, browser user agent, and your user ID if logged in) for our own internal analytics. This data is used to understand which products and merchants are most useful to our users. It is not sold to or shared with any third party.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. Because we do not currently sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA, there is no data sale or sharing to opt out of.
If our practices change in the future, we will update this page with a functional opt-out mechanism and notify affected users.
We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a valid opt-out request under applicable privacy laws.
