The Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6000MT/s CL36 is the mid-tier option in the Vengeance RGB DDR5 lineup, running DDR5-6000 at CL36 timings with ten-zone addressable RGB per module. It lands between the more aggressive CL30 kit and the looser CL40 variant at the same speed.

Specs and Performance

Tested timings are 36-38-38-76 at 1.25V, activated via Intel XMP 3.0. The 1.25V operating voltage is conservative for an overclocked DDR5 kit, the CL30 version runs at 1.40V. Lower voltage generally means better thermals and lower compatibility risk across different boards.

Effective latency at CL36 / 6000MT/s is roughly 12.0ns, compared to ~10.0ns for the CL30 variant and ~13.3ns for the CL40. It's the practical middle ground.

Each module has ten-zone addressable RGB lighting via iCUE. Form factor is 288-pin UDIMM with an aluminum heatspreader and lifetime warranty.

Comparing to the Non-RGB CL36

The non-RGB Vengeance DDR5 6000MT/s CL36 adds AMD EXPO support and includes a 2x48GB configuration for 96GB builds. This RGB version is Intel XMP only and lacks the 2x48GB option. If you're on AMD Ryzen or need the dual-channel 96GB configuration, the non-RGB variant is the better fit.

Limitations

Intel XMP 3.0 only, EXPO is not listed, so Ryzen platform users won't get the rated speeds through an official profile. Non-ECC and unbuffered.

Best for: Intel platform builds where both DDR5-6000 performance and RGB lighting matter, and you want a balanced kit that doesn't push voltage as hard as the CL30 version.

Avoid if: You're on AMD Ryzen, need a 2x48GB kit, or don't care about RGB and would rather save money on the non-RGB CL36 variant.
